Our house is a spacious, modern house, on a very quiet road, elevated above the main road from Dunvegan to Glendale. We have sea views from almost every window, and distant views of the Cullin mountains. We have two rooms available for Bed & Breakfast. One is a suite within the main house, which takes up one side of the house and is effectively 'self contained'. The bedroom, with views of Dunvegan Castle and the sea, is at the front of the house and has a private sitting room with sea and mountain views, as well as a private WC and shower room. Our other B&B room is a self contained space above our detached double garage. It is accessed by an external stone staircase and comprises a spacious bedroom with seating area, a Juliet balcony with views of both the sea and the distant mountains, and an en-suite shower room. Breakfast is served in the dining room of the main house. We have a small flock of free range hens, who provide delicious eggs for breakfast. We do not have a rooster or cockerel so there is no noise!
I am Jacqueline and moved to Skye in 2016 with my husband Ian, after retiring early from my career in the Civil Service. I enjoy walking, cross country skiing, playing the clarinet and teaching the piano. I speak French and German.
Our area is peaceful and beautiful. From our house you can experience everything Skye has to offer, from walks in the Cullins or the Quiraing, the Coral Beach, Neist Point, or a visit to Dunvegan Castle or the Tallisker Distillery. We are just minutes away from the famous Three Chimneys Restaurant, a 10 minute drive from Dunvegan, and a 20 drive from the Michelin starred Lochbay Restaurant, The Stein Inn (the oldest pub on Skye) and the excellent restaurant at Edinbane Lodge.
