When we built Jasmine Cottage in 2014 we used all our experience from Velvet Cottage next door to create a special, sustainable space for our holiday guests. IMPORTANT - the parking bay we created is big, but unfortunately the single track lane isn't, so we can't accommodate large commercial vans as there's no room to turn them. The lounge area is upstairs to take advantage of the fabulous views and the balcony overlooking the private rear garden. The downstairs kitchen and dining room comfortably seat eight guests and can be used for games and other social activities as well as dining. Outside, two private terraces are great for al fresco dining (Welsh weather permitting!!), socialising or barbecues (again, Welsh weather permitting....) Unlimited hot water is delivered from an electric boiler in the rear porch. The water is heated overnight on a timer, but should extra hot water be required, a one hour booster can provide up to 60 minutes of extra heating. The heating is provided by air conditioning unit set to heat only mode, providing a warm environment with minimum impact on the environment!

Yvonne and myself have been hosting holidaymakers since 2010, and we still get an enormous sense of satisfaction from providing a great holiday experience for our guests. In our downtime, Yvonne loves taking wildlife photographs, particularly birds. I enjoy (most of the time!) playing golf and bridge. We both love walking in the Shropshire Hills near our home and in the fantastic countryside around Jasmine Cottage! We're volunteer wardens at our local nature reserve and get an enormous amount of satisfaction from our roles there.

Jasmine Cottage is situated in a quiet rural location with fantastic opportunities for easy or more challenging walking. Offa's Dyke footpath, the Dee Valley Way, the North Berwyn Way and the Llangollen Round footpath are all within walking distance of Jasmine Cottage. The Llangollen area is renowned for all kinds of outdoor sports. Canoeing, climbing, horse riding, mountain biking, golf and abseiling are just some of the activities readily available within five miles of the cottage. For kids, the Abbey Grange Hotel (across the field) has a great play area, If they're really lucky they may get a ride on a steam train pulled by Thomas the Tank Engine himself!
