The ancestral home of the Lucas-Scudamore family, this historic estate sits at the intersection between Herefordshire and Monmouthshire - a place marked by billowing hills, ancient trees and crumbling castles. Whether you choose to while away the hours in Kentchurch Court's discerning drawing room before climbing the tower stairs to explore the four poster bedrooms, or sit in the tranquil walled garden at Upper Lodge, this pair of unique properties make the perfect spot to gather friends and family for an unforgettable stay. Please note a 25% deposit is required at the time of booking. This is fully refundable up to 60 days of arrival when your remaining balance payment is due. 6 well-behaved dog/s (4 at Kentchurch Court, 2 at Upper Lodge) are welcome for an additional fee of 40 GBP per dog. This fee is not included in the rental price. Please advise us at the time of booking if you are bringing a dog/s and you will be sent a request for the additional fee. After you have placed your booking, we will contact you within 48 hours to discuss the nature of your stay. It is the policy of this property not to take bookings for groups where the majority of guests are under the age of 25, or single-sex group celebrations, including stag/hen parties. We ask our guests for a security deposit of to be paid by bank transfer. Kentchurch Court is a historic stately home with many beautiful unique features. Within you will find uneven floors, additional internal steps, and a stone spiral staircase in the tower. There is CCTV at Kentchurch Court recording the exterior of the property, and also looking onto Upper Lodge's front door. Please note, if you would like bedroom 3 at Upper Lodge to be arranged as a super king-size, please contact us directly 7 days before arrival.

Kentchurch Court is regarded as one of the most important historical houses in Herefordshire, it’s Grade I listed and dates back to the 14th century. Kentchurch Park sits on the beautiful Kentchurch Estate, itself home to a deer park which can trace its roots back to when the Knights Templar owned the land. The estate-owned Bridge Inn is just a short stroll along the lane, making for an easy and relaxed evening out. Get your fill of castles, explore the thriving towns of Hay on Wye, Ross on Wye and Abergavenny or head to the nearby Brecon Beacons for superb outdoor activities in the outstanding beauty of the national park.
