The Old Feed Store is a beautifully converted studio set within the grounds of our 400-year-old Grade II listed Devon farmhouse on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. Rich in character, it retains its original cob walls and the authentic charm of a traditional Devon farmhouse. Situated on the A386, The Old Feed Store offers excellent year-round access to Dartmoor, the Granite Way, Lydford Gorge, Meldon Reservoir and the A30, making it an ideal base for walkers, cyclists and explorers. Whilst there is passing traffic, many of our guests choose to stay here because they can be on some of Dartmoor's finest walking, cycling and wild swimming routes within minutes. If you're looking for complete rural seclusion, we may not be the right choice. However, if you're looking for a comfortable, characterful base with immediate access to the moor and all that Dartmoor has to offer. The Guest suite with private access to the main house, features a comfortable king-size bed, seating area, modern shower room and a fridge, microwave and tea and coffee making facilities. Perfect for short breaks and stays of 1–5 nights, it's a cosy place to return to after a day on the moor.
