The property has been in my family since the 1920’s it belonged to my grandmother. My father was brought up here and I also spent my childhood visiting my grandmother. It’s a magical place, quite unspoilt. I have lived here since the mid eighties. The accommodation is a Barn conversion and is attached to the house but totally private, with its own entrance. As the property faces East and overlooks Frongoch lake, morning sunrises are spectacular. There is no food offered at this accommodation even though I do as a matter of courtesy provide tea , coffee, milk and a few goodies for guests on arrival. Towels are provided. There is an ironing board, TV plus DVD and some DVD’s if you like to chill watching a movie over a long summer evening. A full cooker plus microwave kettle and coffee maker, also a small fridge which is in the under stair cupboard. The nearest town is Aberystwyth where there is a Tescos, Morrison and a Marks and Spencer’s , to name but a few. There is no public transport or shops close by ,as mention above Aberystwyth is the nearest shopping centre which is 12 miles away , approximately 20 minutes by car . The Hafod hotel is 5 minutes away which overlooks the Mynach falls. This is a great place to eat. There are also a number of other great eating places, details of which can be found in the accommodation . Devils Bridge is a 5 minute drive away, famous for its narrow gauge railway and the amazing Mynach Falls. There are a number of restaurants locally which offer the traveller and array of delicious local dishes. Aberystwyth is 12 miles away it is situated on the shores of Cardigan bay. Dolphin trips are a popular choice for people visiting this part of Wales. Here you can also find the National Library of Wales. The University of Aberystwyth is also to be found in this quaint Victorian town. Minimum length of stay 2 nights.

Local attraction include Mynach Falls, The Hafod Estate , which is steeped in history and offers amazing walks. It’s a place where you can get lost in thoughts of times gone by!The Hafod estate is also a wonderful place to spend time walking.
