Sink into the comfortable sofas in the stylish living space, complete with a Smart TV for streaming your favourite shows, and a selection of board games for all ages in a warm and relaxing setting. The large Kingsize bedroom has direct access to the luxurious terrazzo bathroom with freestanding bath, separate walk-in shower, toilet and vanity unit with sink and illuminated mirror. The bedroom also has a dressing table area with illuminated mirror and a hairdryer and Iron & Ironing Board are also provided.

We are Miller Luxury Retreats, a husband and wife team who founded Thrumster Lodges in 2024. Jonathan is an architect, he designed and project managed the build of all three lodges. Designed to a very high specification and including the use of renewable energy with air source heat pumps, Solar panels and EV Charging point. Beverley owns a Bridal Boutique and took the lead on design of the interiors and finishing touches and also takes charge of our social media and marketing. We have recently been joined by our Construction Project Manager – our Sprocker Spaniel puppy Ruby who we are sure will give you a more than friendly welcome! We also have our own chickens and if you would like to sample their delicious free range fresh eggs during your stay please just let us know and Ginger & Babs would be happy to oblige. It has been a dream of ours to build our own luxury self catering business in our home village of Thrumster and we believe that what we offer here is pure luxury and sanctuary and hopefully a home from home when on your travels.

Located in the peaceful village of Thrumster, just across the road from the local village pub, this spot offers the best of both worlds. It’s set directly off the A99 on the iconic NC500 route between Inverness and Wick, yet remains wonderfully tranquil with rolling countryside right on your doorstep. The Old Smiddy Inn Village Pub is directly across the road and a 2 minute walk from Thrumster Lodges. They offer a friendly authentic scottish country pub atmosphere where you can relax by the coal fire and enjoy a homecooked meal or pick up a delicious takeaway to enjoy in your lodge. We are the perfect stop off if you are completing the John O’Groats trail which runs along the Thrumster coastline, where you can also enjoy Sarclet Harbour & The Stack at Sarclet Haven. The Yarrows Archaolgical Trail with its rich history is also nearby.
