Breakfast was very good as a continental breakfast, with a very tasty yoghurt, with fruits and nuts. It would have been nice to have had a refill of coffee offered earlier.

This was the first time we booked a room in a house share and did have some reservations but we were so glad we did. Sara and Guy were fabulous hosts. It really does feel like a home from home experience.

Lovely room, really comfy bed with proper feather duvet and pillows (much appreciated). We only needed a brief overnight place stay, this was perfect. Quiet location. The hosts were welcoming and not intrusive. I would definitely recommend.

Location is great here in South Bucks. I arrived needing to catch up on some sleep and found that no problem here for the few nights I stayed as the house is situated on a quiet cul de sac. The owners are used to having people stay during the...

We invite you to unwind in the serene and elegantly appointed accommodations. Our commitment to your comfort is reflected in the natural goose down pillows and duvet, ensuring a luxurious and restful experience. For guests with sensitivities, hypoallergenic bedding is available upon request. To facilitate your preference, kindly specify your bedding requirements when making your reservation. For your awareness, Moorcroft operates as a homestay accommodation. The term "unit" in this context refers specifically to your private room. In addition to your private room, guests have access to our beautifully appointed shared bathroom, featuring an exceptional shower. You will also have full access to the pristine shared bathroom, the kitchen (including dedicated cupboard and refrigerator storage, with an additional outdoor refrigerator for expanded capacity), complimentary access to a selection of teas and fresh coffee, the shared dining room, the shared downstairs toilet, and the garden and its furnishings, weather permitting, for your enjoyment and breakfast. We trust this provides a comprehensive overview of your anticipated experience with us. Our residence is a spacious, detached home situated in a cul-de-sac that leads to the Earl of Dashwood’s Estate. For your convenience, fresh towels and a complimentary bottle of water are provided in your room. Each room is equipped with a QLED flat-screen television offering a full suite of streaming services, USBC and USBA ports for all your technological needs, a hairdryer, a mirror, and blackout curtains to ensure an undisturbed night's sleep.
My husband and I have been hosts for an extended period and genuinely appreciate the opportunity to connect with new individuals. I am employed as a Casino Supervisor, and my husband works for the National Health Service. We recently adopted an 11-month-old Golden Retriever mix puppy named Claude. He resides in our private quarters, although his sleeping crate is situated in a corner of our spacious kitchen. Claude possesses a very gentle disposition and seldom vocalizes. A photograph of him is available in the main photo gallery.
Our location is a brief bus journey from central High Wycombe. For those seeking local attractions, we highly recommend West Wycombe village, the Earl of Dashwood’s Estate (known as West Wycombe Park and managed by the National Trust), his Mausoleum situated atop a hill behind the village, and the internationally renowned Hell Fire Caves, located beneath the Mausoleum. Opening hours and dates are available on the National Trust website. Additionally, The Orchard Cafe, located on the high street, offers exceptional snacks and beverages, all within 0.6 miles of our accommodation and accessible via a pleasant walk. Alternatively, guests may explore the river at the foot of our road, its bridge, and a bridle path leading to breathtaking views from the rear of the Earl of Dashwood’s Estate, accessible through the white gate at the bottom of our road. The river featured in our profile picture is this very river, and further images of the views can be found in our photo gallery. Access to the river is complimentary and available year-round from our road. During the rainy season, the bridle path may become somewhat boggy, potentially requiring appropriate footwear. However, we can provide directions for an alternative, more stable route if needed.
