The bedrooms include two doubles, one with Smart TV, served by a bathroom. To the outside is ample off-road parking and an enclosed garden with patio, furniture and barbecue. Within 2.4 miles there is a shop and within 1.2 miles there is a pub. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in rent and please note there is no smoking. Okehampton is a busy market town on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park and near the highest and most dramatic areas of the moor, where Yes Tor rises to a height above 2000 feet. To the north of Okehampton are some beautiful rolling Devon hills where small farming villages nestle amidst woods and fields with plenty of gently flowing rivers. The fabulous Roadford Reservoir offers a multitude of watersport activities and fishing opportunities. Okehampton has a prominent medieval castle overlooking a wooded river valley, the Museum of Dartmoor Life and Okehampton train station, which has been restored to its 1950s glory: The Dartmoor Line now operates a service between Okehampton and Exeter every hour, 7 days a week. The town also has access to fabulous walks and Simmons Park where you’ll find a children’s adventure playground. This area of Devon has plenty of farm shops and country inns serving good food where visitors can spend time relaxing and unwinding amongst unspoilt countryside.
