Nutshell cottage is a charming property full of the quirks that come with an old building. It has small steep staircases so please bear this in mind when booking. It might be tricky to navigate for small children of people with reduced mobility. The local area is perfect for exploring if you love nature and walking. There are coastal walks towards Beer and Branscombe in one direction and Lyme Regis in the other. There are many places to eat in Seaton and surrounding towns. There is a tram you can hop on and travel to the wetlands area. Frydays does great Fish & Chips! Dogs are welcome on the beach all year round although there are restrictions during the summer months. Please refer to the signs on the promenade. Please note there is a public car park called Orchard road Car Park a few minutes away which can be paid for using the ring Go app with ease. Fees are payable between the hours of 8-6 daily. I have never struggled to park here and it is literally a 3 minute walk. Guests can pull up outside Nutshell Cottage on the pavement and unload with ease though.

Nutshell cottage is owned by Vanessa who is a local resident and painter and managed by her daughter Nancy. We both love staying in the cottage and walking along the coast and jumping in the sea when it is not too cold! We hope guests enjoy staying in the cottage as much as we do.

Seaton is a small town with a great pebbly beach and a promenade. The beach is dog friendly all year round and there are fantastic coastal walks to be enjoyed in both directions with incredible views. Both Beer and Branscombe are walkable and beautiful spots to visit as well as Lyme regis in Dorset.
