We’re Mark and Monica. Our home in Assynt is a dream come true for us and we gain great value in sharing this incredible place with our visitors. Neither of us have ever really “fit in” with the usual trappings of modern life, so finding Assynt felt like coming home. The wild landscape marked by isolated mountains, wild beaches, rugged scenery, and sparse population bring enormous wellbeing benefits that need to be experienced to be truly appreciated. Assynt is also a treasure trove for science nerds like us. It’s a UNESCO Geopark and Bortle 1 dark sky site.
