Otters Retreat is an annex which is an includes BREAKFAST items. The Bed & Breakfast apartment for 2 people, is within our mountain view home. It is very private with its own access and offers the space, privacy and luxury not often found in a B & B. The apartment is on the lower ground floor at the rear of the house, here in Big Sand. We provide a selection of continental breakfast items, which you can prepare yourself in the privacy of your own apartment, when-ever you wish! For all weekly stays in 2026 we provide a welcome hamper which includes wine, teas, coffees, milk, juice, yogurt, range of cereals, home made granola and marmalade, toastie bread, croissants, bowl of fresh fruit, preserves, biscuits, chocolate, cake, butter, porridge. Weekly stays are by far the best value and it saves on change-over and cleaning costs. Longer than 7 nights hampers include Champagne and Flowers. Your apartment has everything you need for the perfect holiday. It has its own sitting room with large screen tv, which includes Netflix etc. There are books and a selection of board games. It offers a shower-room, well equipped kitchen, double bedroom with crisp white cotton sheets, and laundry facilities. During the summer there are plenty of places to eat out, the nearest just a short walk via the beach. The whole apartment is very comfortable with central heating. Outside there is a table and chairs for summer evenings by the burn, where an otter is sometimes spotted. BBQ available for use. Seating is provided at the side of our house so that you can enjoy the fabulous views from the front of the property. You can see all the Torridon mountains, across to Skye's Cuillins, and a wider view includes the Outer Hebrides. Sun rises and sun-sets here are breath taking. We are just a few minutes walk from the beach, one mile from nearest shop, bar, restaurant, take-away, and 4 miles from Gairloch which has a pharmacy, supermarket, farm shop, tourist information, coffee shop, bars and hotels and museum. You can book all kinds of trips to see dolphins, whales and the famous Inverewe Gardens are a short drive away. The beach is very clean and safe, and the sea ideal for kayaking, wild swimming, sailboarding, paddle boarding, windsurfing. The area is outstandingly beautiful, with the Torridon mountain range, Isle of Sky, Outer Hebrides all possible to see from the front of the property.
