Outbak is a delightful shepherd’s hut in a peaceful, rural spot where you can escape from the world. Surrounded by fields of green and the occasional whistle of the steam train as it passes by, this is a cosy, country retreat just for two. After a day exploring, relax weary bones in the wood-fired hot tub, and marvel at the brilliant night skies above. With the medieval market town of Winchcombe in one direction, the pretty village of Broadway in the other and the Cotswold Way footpath on your doorstep, Outbak is perfectly placed for exploring the beautiful Cotswolds. This is fully refundable up to 60 days of arrival when your remaining balance payment is due. The line for the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam railway line runs alongside the adjacent field. This is used by steam and diesel trains and is a tourist line, not a commuter service. You may be aware of the train’s whistle as it passes through. Outbak Shepherds Hut does not have mains drainage and waste goes to a septic tank. Please make sure that you do not wash food waste down the kitchen sink and please do not flush anything other than toilet paper down the toilet. It is very time-consuming and expensive to unblock the system and guests who do not adhere to this rule will be invoiced should a blockage occur. Pets are not permitted at Outbak Shepherds Hut. Children under two are permitted however there is no space for a travel cot and very limited storage.

Hailes is a tiny spot a few miles from Winchcombe, the National Trust site for Hailes Abbey is within walking distance as is the Hales Fruit Farm Shop. The Gloucestershire Warwickshire steam railway line runs past, and the Cotswold Way footpath is less than a mile away. The closest pub is a 2-minute drive or a 25-minute stroll away.
