We love our guests and have met so many lovely people from many countries. Guests are names and faces to us and we are always delighted when we see returnees. We want everyone to have a good, restful experience with us. We can be "chatty" if you want and are happy to help with any requests or requirements.

Property info

Pentland Lodge House is a listed building built c1750. It has seen many uses but we have restored it to it's more original layout but with modern facilities and decor. The house has a peaceful, welcoming atmosphere. We love our area and use local pictures and ornaments to brighten the rooms. Our power showers are refreshing and our beds are comfortable. We provide in room complimentary items and fresh milk for teas and coffee. There is lots of information about the area in our information pack. The breakfast room is spacious and we serve a locally sourced, cooked to order breakfast - how you like it, alongside many help yourself style items. We have a large area around the house for parking with evc charging point and a lockable shed for cycles.

Neighborhood info

Thurso is large enough to have good general shopping and eating venues along with facilities such as swimming pool and cinema. However most of your visit will cost nothing as our attractions are our scenery. The bay can often be full of activity - boats, surfers and even Orca. The river walk goes through a park with play area and pond - if you are lucky there are otter and salmon and even seals to be seen. Immediately around Thurso is agricultural land but further inland is wilderness. There are so many places to go to where there will be nobody else to disturb but spectacular views to see especially around the coast.
