Welcome to Petrock Holiday Cottages. Oak Tree and Primrose Cottages provide stunning spaces in a converted Devon long barn. We offer the very best of stylish self-catering accommodation for the discerning traveller. De-stress and unwind by staying in either Oak Tree or Primrose. Our cottages are a real alternative to a busy hotel or B&B. Because we are small we can give you the freedom and privacy you want. We are in a rural farming community but very accessible to the north Devon and Cornwall coast, Dartmoor and Exmoor. We offer free wi-fi, free parking and we accept dogs on request with a small pet stay charge.

We look forward to welcoming you to our rural retreat, nestled in the beautiful Devon countryside. We live on site, so are very happy to help with any local information but the cottages are also very private with their own separate entrances, expansive gardens (shared with one other cottage) and private decking areas. There is plenty of outside space to relax by the stream or on your own private south-facing decked area. Richard is a sculptor and charity worker. Helen is an ex-teacher who now primarily runs the cottages. We hope you will enjoy the peace, tranquility and dark starry skies in our little hamlet, as much as we do. We love nothing more than our long beach walks all year round with our dog or escaping to the moors! A warm welcome awaits you at our 'home from home' cottages, which offer a perfect base from where you will be able to explore this beautiful part of the world.

We are located in Ruby Country, enclosed by the upland expanses of Bodmin, Exmoor and Dartmoor, and to the north by the wild and rugged North Devon and Cornwall coast. We are situated within a rural farming community which enjoys peace and quiet, dark skies at night and plenty of birdsong. For great days out visit Great Torrington (15 minute drive) to experience Dartington Crystal, the incredible RHS Rosemoor Gardens or the Tarka Trail for miles of traffic free walking and cycling for the whole family. Head to the Cornish Coast at Bude (25 minutes drive) for the great beach vibe and surfing plus access to the South West Coastal Path. Visit Appledore (30 minutes drive) to stroll the promenade, eat fish and chips and people watch from its many cafes. Visit Instow for its year round dog- friendly beach, sand-dunes and beach-side eateries. The famous fishing village of Clovelly is also just a short drive away, as is Hartland Abbey and Hartland Quay (popular filming locations). We are close to Westward Ho! (30 minutes drive) with it's 3 mile sandy beach and within easy reach of The Eden Project, Boscastle, Tintagel Castle and famous Padstow. We love the wildness of the North Devon and Cornwall coast - visit us for this and relax in our comfortable cottages after a day out in the fresh air!
