The cottage has a fabulous balcony with views over the Estuary to the surrounding hills and e makes a perfect location for a family holiday in comfortable and beautifully prepared accommodation.

The large garden is attractively laid out with shrubs and borders making it a restful private area to relax; there is also a large summer house for guest use and storage for bikes and sailing gear. The two village Inns both serve food so options for eating out are also on the doorstep if required. Kippford is one of the most popular villages on the Solway Coast and is a bustling centre for sailing and other water sports. There are also numerous other attractions in the area including art galleries and museums in Kirkcudbright and also the busy market town of Castle Douglas. Outdoor pursuits are extremely well catered for with beach and cliff walks leading from Kippford around to the adjoining popular village of Rockcliffe. Mountain bike routes are laid out in the Forestry Commission woodlands at Dalbeattie and also in the Galloway forest Park forming the 7Stanes Mountain Bike Routes and for general touring the local roads are easy to access and allow the coast to be explored at more leisurely pace.
