Potts Farm is a centuries old grassland sheep farm in Kent with ancient woodland and natural streams. It is also the home of Oast Wood Vineyard, planted in 2021. This produces small batch single estate, single vintage wines. In addition to Angel Cottage, the farm comprises an Oast House, a timber framed hay-barn (used as the vineyard cellar door for wine tasting and sales), agricultural outbuildings. The fields, wetland areas, and ancient woodland are managed to maximise biodiversity. Angel cottage is a stand-alone one-bedroom building providing high quality accommodation. The cottage has a large bedroom with queen sized bed, as well as a beautifully appointed bathroom with bath and walk-in shower. Downstairs there is a lovely light living room with sofa and dining table and chairs, as well as a fully equipped kitchen and a separate shower room. Potts Farm is located very close to the charming market town of Tenterden, with its historic Church, High Street, and mediaeval pubs. Waitrose and Tesco supermarkets are nearby. The walk to Tenterden is along a footpath across fields that leads to the centre of town. Tenterden is at the centre of an emerging wine region. Nearby vineyards include Chapel Down, Biddenden, Hush Heath, Woodchurch, Wayfarer, Ham Street, and Warehorne as well as the Rother Valley Vineyards. Potts Farm is an arable farm of around 50 acres set in open countryside with access to a network of cross-country footpaths for hiking and exploring. The farm also includes ponds, wetlands and a small area of ancient woodland. These support a huge variety of tress, plants and flowers, birds, native mammals and insects. Guests are welcome to walk around the farm. All we ask is that you close after you any gates you open.
