Curated and restored with respect for this building’s heritage while creating a contemporary high-end feel, this property has heaps of charm and character, and could not be better placed for exploring all that the historical Hanseatic Quarter of King’s Lynn has to offer. Large glass doors at the rear of the property open on to a tiny walled courtyard, bringing light in to the open-plan living space on the ground floor, while at the front original sash windows have been painstakingly restored. A small kitchenette, a stylish dining area and a gorgeous living room welcome you when you enter the cottage, and the ground floor also features a contemporary shower room. An exposed, original lime wall that leads up the stairs also contains its original beam, which has been restored to preserve the character of the bricks. Look carefully as you climb the steps and you will see that very old gravestones were used within this wall, and you will also notice where the fire that destroyed part of this building in the 1700’s reached, leaving the bricks fire-kissed in its wake.
