I retired from the NHS 6 years ago and had built up a portfolio of rental properties with my partner Bill. Just over 3 years we decided to do bed and breakfast in our 100 year old converted barn and now have seven properties which can accommodate from 1 up to 10 guests. We enjoy meeting our guests and are dedicated to making their stay as comfortable as possible

Property info

Where to start! Situated 7 miles from Durham, 12 to 15 minutes by car. The views are great, the Loft is located in the middle of farmland at the end of a single lane track, completed November 2018 it is half a mile from the nearest road = ZERO traffic noise. The loft is above the garage in our large garden, warm and cosy with extensive stunning views to the North and South. Close to our home but totally private. For cyclists there is secure storage in the garage for bikes and the Hart to Haswell cycle track is on our doorstep. The headroom is kind of tight along the two sides but, at 6 feet tall my other half manages okay. Ideal for two, but can easily cope with 4 people with an excellent IKEA full size sofa bed in the lounge. The Loft is accessed by external concrete steps so may not be suitable for those with mobility problems or young children. No internet as yet but hope to get this soon, personal hot spot and 4G work fine. All bedding and towels provided. Kitchen is compact but fully equipped.
