We established Ramsey House in 2007, and our B&B was the first 5 star rated Guest Accommodation in St Davids, and (we believe!) the most westerly Bed & Breakfast in Wales. Positioned 5 mins on foot from St Davids Cathedral, less than ten mins stroll to the shops and restaurants, and 15 mins walk to the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, Ramsey House is in a peaceful yet very accessible part of St Davids. The property was most recently updated in 2023, with gorgeous designer wallpapers in the well appointed bedrooms, and fully refitted with soft sand coloured carpets. We are surrounded by fields behind and to the sides of the house, and have a handful of cottages across the road. St Davids has something to offer everyone, from those seeking culture and arts, to adrenaline junkies looking for an active holiday. Ramsey House is the perfect base for all these activities!
We both have a hotel and catering background before running Ramsey House. Shaun is a professional chef, winning the Best Breakfast in Wales with the AA in 2020/21, and we have a combined 55 years experience in the hospitality industry. Most recently we have been awarded Best B&B in Wales by the AA for 2025. We have lived in Pembrokeshire since 1999, and love the area in which we are so lucky to live, and enjoy sharing our favourite tips with our visitors. In his spare time Shaun enjoys fishing and metal detecting, Suzanne is an bellringer at St Davids Cathedral, and we both love walking our dog along the paths and beaches of the area.
Our little west end part of St Davids is peaceful yet accessible to everything St Davids has to offer. Just a short stroll away is the coast, town (city!), and cafes, pubs and restaurants. Wandering home after dinner, many guests comment on the array of stars twinkling above. Once home, enjoy a nightcap in the guest lounge from our bar, knowing your bed is only a few steps away.... Come and enjoy this special corner of Pembrokeshire. We guarantee you will fall in love with it too.
