Breakfast wasn't provided but what was provided were details of local places to eat and drink which was most helpful. The location was great and so restful and peaceful with fantastic bird life and lovely views.

Feel rejuvenated after a stay in this rustic gem. This enchanting retreat has been lovingly handcrafted by the owners. Tucked away in rural Devon, the perfect hideaway for a cosy, romantic escape. Take a short walk along the meandering river to the local pub or bistro café. There are many walks and cycle routes available directly from the cabin. Alternatively, if you fancy a car trip you will find Devon's north & south coasts, Dartmoor, Exmoor and the Blackdown Hills all within an hours drive. Peaceful and quiet with beautiful views and easy access to road networks. The main part of the hut boasts underfloor heating and a log burner to keep you toasty warm. An induction hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge and Belfast sink can be found in the kitchenette, along with all the basic equipment you need to cook and serve a tasty meal. There is a comfortable sofa opposite the kitchen area looking out over the decking and across the field. The luxury king size bed is made up with freshly laundered Egyptian cotton bed linen, four pillows and a bolster cushion. There is a separate adjoining room where you can hang coats and boots, and ample space for a dogs bed and bowls. Leading off here is the bathroom with electric shower, loo and basin. Outside the double doors you will find a large sun decking with beautiful views, gas fired BBQ, table and chairs, recycling store and boot rack. The firepit is located on the grassy area below the decking. Located on a smallholding at the very end of a country lane, the cabin is situated at the end of a field surrounded by a small copse of young trees and is enclosed in a fully fenced secure area. The Culm Valley is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and there are many local walks and beauty spots to explore in the surrounding area. There are no neighbours to the hut, and you will find it is a great place to enjoy the dark night sky. Dogs are allowed at GBP 25 per stay. They are not allowed on the furniture
Culmstock is a small village with the River Culm running through it's centre. You will find The Strand Stores Bistro, cafe and shop, Culm Valley Inn pub and restaurant, a garage, gym and church. There is also a village school, church and hall. Overall Culmstock is a very welcoming and friendly community, with lots of fun and engaging events throughout the year, and a relaxed, happy vibe. During the summer you will find people relaxing by the river and in the pub beer garden.
