One of the unique features of Riverwood Farm compared to other Glamping sites is the feeling of space, being at one with nature and the freedom for children to explore. For those that have the patience, if you sit quietly at dawn or dusk you might be lucky enough with sights of deer, owls, foxes, bats, badgers and rabbits. There is large raised deck area at the front of the lodge with great views across the Devon Countryside, just outside is a picnic table, fire pit and BBQ for campfire cooking or as evening settles sitting by a crackling log fire.
There is an enormous variety of things to do in and around the area. The Roman City of Exeter approximately 15 miles away with plenty to see and do. Exmouth has a yachting marina and a selection of fine gardens to visit, luding coast and country walks, National Trust properties, gardens, blue flag beaches, thatched villages and picturesque towns, castles, craft and antique centers, children’s theme parks and farms, boat trips and fishing. The farm itself is also home to many different species of wildlife and plants.
