Our cottage, Rockhopper, is in a small village on the banks of the River Deben. A stone’s throw from the local pub and with plenty of outdoor activities we think it’s a fab location to enjoy Suffolk’s best bits. Less than a minute walk down to the river and beach you can enjoy easy access for wild swimming, crabbing, kayaking or paddle boarding. If pubs and water based activities are not your thing, there are plenty of footpaths to explore, birdwatching & country lanes for whizzing around on bikes!

Megan has a lot of experience running and hosting holiday accommodation, from ski chalets, hostels and now private homes. She ensures a high level of cleanliness at all properties under her care and does her best to make sure all has already been thought about to give you the most enjoyable stay. Waldringfield is a beautiful unspoilt village on the banks of the River Deben. There are lots of lovely walks to be had in the countryside and the Maybush pub and beach are just a few minutes walk from the cottage door. There is space at the cottage to bring a paddle board or kayaks to explore the creeks on the river and try to spot the local family of seals. Just a short drive away you have the seaside town of Felixstowe and Market town of Woodbridge to explore, eat, drink and shop. Many visitors to the area visit Sutton Hoo the famous Viking burial site and Famlingham Castle, the home of Ed Sheeran. There lots to do and explore in the area.
