The Barn, situated at the famous Rod and Line in Tideford just off the A38, boasts three luxury rooms with en-suite bathrooms. In close proximity to the sunny beaches of Whitsand Bay and Seaton on the south coast as well as the fishing villages of Looe and Polperro, it is ideally situated for a seaside holiday, or for a 'stop-off' on a journey further into Cornwall. All Rooms are pet friendly (by request), and there are several public transport options near by with the national and local bus services stopping in Tideford and a railway station 2 miles away in St Germans. Even better you can walk to Lit Fest - Port Eliot! The Rod and Line is a traditional pub and is one of the oldest public houses in the area, being documented as an inn since 1678. The pub is renowned for its seafood and its real ale, as well as its seasonal menu including dexter beef dishes from cattle grown on the banks of the river Lyner. The pub hosts a range of live music evenings and is well situated to support shooting parties in season, with Port Eliot, Bocconnoc and Pentilly Estates all within easy distance. The pub is pet and children friendly and accommodates all dietary requirements on request.
Run by husband and wife team Mike and Jo, we welcome you to The Barn and the Rod and Line.
Tideford is a small village, situated just off the A38. Local and national transport links by bus can be found in the village and a train station in the neighbouring village of St Germans, famous for the Port Eliot Literary Festival, is 2 miles away.
