Our house is located in the quiet town of Patterdale, a 2 minute drive from Glenridding. We are surrounded by mountains and farms and only a short walk away to Ullswater Lake and the start of the trail leading to Mount Helvellyn. The house has a big back garden with spectacular views. The bedrooms are uniquely decorated with furniture and art from Indonesia. Guests will sleep in four poster beds. @schoolhousepatterdale

I am from England and was a PE teacher working in international schools, mainly in Asia. I've lived overseas most of my life, growing up in Indonesia. I've also recently moved back to the UK from living in China. The main reason for moving back was to be in living in nature and the Lake District has it all. I love stand up paddle boarding, hiking, swimming in the lake, learning languages and cooking.

The Patterdale area is a picturesque valley in the eastern Lake District, Cumbria, at the head of Ullswater lake, known for stunning mountain scenery and access to famous peaks like Helvellyn. The village itself is a small community with traditional charm, serving as a gateway for walking, outdoor activities, and boat trips on Ullswater. The parish also includes the nearby villages of Glenridding and Hartsop, offering a range of accommodation, amenities, and activities for visitors seeking a peaceful retreat.
