Selah Teifi (or Cruddy to the family) is a wonderful retreat. It has recently been restored by us. The house is on 3 floors, with 3 bedrooms upstairs, a lounge (with king sofa bed) and kitchen/diner on the ground floor and games room and wet room in the cellar. The wet room is perfect after a wet day of outdoor activities with lots of room to change and clean. There are also dehumidifiers and lines for drying purposes. We have done our best to provide our guests with a really comfy, cosy experience and true getaway. We've tried to celebrate welsh artists and artisans and hope that you will enjoy the work on display. Standing on the River Teifi it is perfect for canoeists and those wanting to explore the nearby beaches of Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire. Please note that in the spirit of being a retreat, we have no TV here but lots of games, jigsaws and books plus a fantastic games room.. Due to steep stairs to the cellar rooms and the proximity to the river, we do not recommend Selah to families with small children. The central heating is fired by the woodburner. This is the only heating. Fuel is provided. Please be aware that during winter months it could be possible that the cellar may flood, in which case the games room and downstairs bathroom would be out of bounds. It's a rare occurrence. During Christmas, birthdays and celebrations we ask that you take rubbish home with you as we have found that we do not have sufficient capacity to appropriately dispose of it.

Jonathan and I are home based. We have guests and exchange students in our home and entertain lots. We are a musical family, all playing instruments and enjoy live productions. I love to cook and take care of people. We are used to having people live with us and have also done lots of home exchanges in the past so know what it is to have an open home and also how to care for someone else's home. Our guests tell us that they love our home from home approach and we delight to make sure that our guests have had a good experience with us. Whether you need peace and solitude or someone to share an evening with, we do our best to provide both. Although we do not live in the village we welcome contact from our guests during their stay and will do our best to ensure your time is as lovely as possible.

Pontwelly and Llandysul are simply magical places. This predominantly welsh speaking area is a friendly place to spend your days. People are extremely helpful. Llandysul is home to Paddlers Canoe Centre and is renowned for the trips they provide. We have lovely shops, pubs and supermarket all a walk away. It is a 20 minute drive to the nearest beach. Our welcome pack provides lots of tips and ideas for things to do.
