Excellent location for a quiet rural stay, and very nicely equipped for a couple. The private area around the hut is very nice for eating outdoors in summer. And I've never come across anywhere else so well provided with a range of books as this hut!

Keys where left in a locked box and the instructions say to take a left, we didn’t realise there was a break in the hedges to take a left to but our host Julian came out to guide us as we ended up walk round his garden

Lovely quite location with everything we needed in the hut. It was more spacious than we thought and very comfortable. Our hosts were great with communication and made checking in and out very easy. We didn't spend much time in the local town...

2 person stylish Shepherd’s Hut in the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with peaceful views of the fields and trees; you will often look out of the window in the morning to see a family of deer grazing. The hut is just a few steps away from miles of forest trails, two minutes from the Wye Valley Walk and 5 minutes drive from Offa’s Dyke. It’s about a mile from Tintern, a short drive from the Forest of Dean and the area is perfect for walkers, runners and cyclists.
Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the beautiful Wye Valley. The hut is in the small Botany Bay area about a mile uphill from Tintern (with its pubs and famous abbey), in the midst of several forest trails with stunning views over the valley. Trellech village is 2.5 miles away and the Forest of Dean around 12 miles. We are 26 miles from Abergavenny (famous for its food festival) and around 24 miles from the Black Mountains.
