One of the property’s standout features is its balcony, which offers beautiful countryside and fell views together with an outdoor seating area. The rear garden provides further seating and space for outdoor dining or BBQs. Please note that guests staying in the neighbouring middle cottage access their accommodation through part of Silverbirch’s rear garden. The outdoor area is therefore not entirely private, although it remains available for Silverbirch guests to enjoy. Newly installed Starlink provides fast and reliable Wi-Fi, making it easy to stream, work remotely and stay connected despite the peaceful rural setting. The surrounding grounds include three ponds, woodland and the nearby River Keekle. Guests may spot a variety of local birdlife and other wildlife during their stay. Ample free private parking is available at the property. Secure bicycle storage is also provided for guests exploring the nearby Coast to Coast route.

Silverbirch Cottage occupies a peaceful rural position in West Cumbria, surrounded by woodland, wetlands, open countryside and local wildlife. The property is approximately 200 yards from the Coast to Coast route, making it particularly convenient for walkers and cyclists. Secure bicycle storage is available at the cottage. Ennerdale Water is around a 10-minute drive away, while Loweswater can be reached in approximately 35 minutes, with Crummock Water and Buttermere beyond. Longlands Lake is also nearby. Keswick and the north-western Lake District are approximately 25 miles away, while Windermere and the southern Lake District are around 47 miles away. The location is also convenient for professionals working near Sellafield, West Cumberland Hospital and Westlakes Science Park. Guests benefit from ample free private parking and high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi despite the cottage’s remote setting.
