Halifax has become an extremely popular getaway due to its endless visitor attractions. The Piece Hall, a Grade I listed Georgian masterpiece and the oldest remaining Georgian cloth hall in the world is an absolute must visit, now made even more popular by the many music concerts held there and saw Samuel L Jackson visit during filming of Disney’s Secret Invasion. Shibden Hall, home to TV series Gentleman Jack, dates back to 1420 and offers visitors a fascinating journey through the lives of the people who lived and worked here, including the noted diarist Anne Lister. We have also been lucky enough to be the main location for the filming of Happy Valley. We are close to the M62, reachable within a 10 minute drive. Sowerby Bridge train station is a 5 minute drive away with links to Halifax, Hebden Bridge, Leeds and Manchester.
