Our welcoming cottage in the heart of the beautiful village of Ballater in Royal Deeside, is an ideal destination to relax and unwind. The house has all the home comforts you would expect and the conservatory overlooks a large patio and enclosed garden. Stunning views of the surrounding hills are seen from the bedrooms. With many outdoor pursuits to choose from, both summer and winter, the local shops, restaurants and bars provide plenty choice, and all within walking distance.
We are excited to share our home in Royal Deeside with you and are sure that you will feel instantly at ease on arrival! We enjoy the peace and relaxed surroundings when staying in the village to unwind whether walking in the hills or by the river, in the garden or in the local pub!
There are many outdoor pursuits to choose from, both summer and winter, including a superb 18 hole golf course, fly fishing by permit, walking, hiking, biking (two local bike hire shops) and skiing. Other places worth exploring are whisky distilleries, castles and famous Highland Games. Due to the ideal central location of our property, the local shops, restaurants and bars provide plenty choice and are all within a short walking distance. The Craigendarroch Hotel offers non-residents a day pass which includes the use of their swimming pool, spa etc Balmoral Castle is a short drive/bus ride west of the village. Braemar, home of the Royal Highland Games, is only a few miles further on. Ballater being in the Cairngorms National Park provides many sight seeing opportunities, experiences and areas to explore.
