Company info

St Georges has a small team of friendly hard working staff. There is no reception and it is self check in, once payment has been received usually on line this free's up the allocation of keys and your keys with instructions to find the rooms will be waiting for you. There are contact details on the desk. We upgrade the rooms in the winter months, each year certain rooms are chosen for upgrading. Breakfast is a complimentary basket breakfast delivered to the room from 8am until 9.30am when baskets are collected up again. Baskets have different foods in each day so no two breakfasts are the same. Our breakfast is complimentary but if you happen to have any special dietary requirements please let us know ahead of time and we can adapt breakfast for your needs.

Property info

St Georges is a typical granite built Guernsey house. Built in 1819 for the ship building industries management. Guernsey houses like Guernsey itself, are typically small, so please do not expect rooms to be huge. However we are within the size standard required by the tourist board for letting rooms. We endeavour to sell our rooms at a budget price for Guernsey, especially for St Peter Port sea front, to attract the tourist market. However St George's is convienent to many of the main offices in town and is the nearest Guest house to St Sampsons and its shopping area and Marina.

Neighborhood info

Situated in Belle Greve bay we are within a short walking distance to town and on the main bus route. The area is traditionally a ship building area with boats built on the Salerie harbour, a pretty traditional granite built harbour with scenic views of the Islands of Herm, Sark and Jethou. Along the Esplanade we have several restaurants if you don't wish to head to town also a supermarket and a paper shop for supplies. There is on street free parking for 10 hours at a time and requires a parking clock that can be purchased at most garages or the information centre and a large car park a few minutes around the corner on the seaside were there is ample parking.
