St John’s Flat is an extremely spacious ground floor flat located in the heart of the beautiful rural village of St John’s Town of Dalry.
The award-winning gastro pub “The Clachan” is nearby as well as a post office, hair dresser, bus stop and shops.
The village itself is part of the Southern Upland Way. From the front door the surrounding views are superb. It is a paradise for walkers and close to the busy Arts Centre “The Catstrand”. Relax with the whole family in this peaceful place.
I am a fun loving lady who likes that her guests feel relaxed to come and go as they please. I work as a Nutritionist, Dietician and Aromatherapist and love great quality food. I enjoy walking which is why I love where I live, reading, cooking, music and entertaining.
As I live in the same village I am able to meet up with anyof my guests and help them in any ways they should wish. They just need to let me know in advance if they would like me to come and see them after they have arrived. I can fully explain the house facilities and what is available in the area.
The area is rural and supports a host of wildlife.
The village itself is part of the Scottish famous walk - The Southern Upland way
The local village of New Galloway has a lovely 9 hole golf course and also an Arts Centre along with local pub and cafe.
Nearby is a Dark Skies outlook point at Loch Doon,
There is The Kite Viewing Station outside Laurieston Village where you can go to the visitor centre and watch the birds flock to be fed.
The Deer Museum at Clatteringshaws hosts a popular cafe and
in another location you are able to get up close to some of approximately 25 of Galloway's resident deer at The Red Deer Range which was established in 1977 to give visitors the chance to see them in a natural environment.
The Galloway Sailing Centre is also in close proximity occupying a stunning location on the banks of Loch Ken. There are lots of activities on offer for young children and also for adults.
A little further away we also have The Cream of Galloway Ice Cream farm, The Laggan Outdoor Centre with its stunning views and also The Cocoabean chocolate factory with it's soft play, outdoor activity area and softplay inside. Workshops are in high demand during the season
