A bijou suite in a quiet village near to St. Michael’s Mount, St Ives + Penzance. Stamping Cottage is a cosy boutique hotel suite tucked inside an Edwardian country house, in a quiet village just 5 miles from St Ives & Penzance designed by our interior design studio, Tin Coast Design. It is a five-minute drive to St Michael’s Mount and 2 minutes from Isles of Scilly park-and-ride. With lovely views onto a walled garden, this little retreat has its own private entrance and sleeps two guests in a king-sized bed; there’s an armchair for curling up with a book and a tiny but perfectly-formed shower room. Dog friendly! The bedroom has a kingsize bed, a comfy linen armchair and the original window seat which looks out onto the gravel garden. The small shower room has a beautiful shower, basin, loo and heated towel rail with fluffy towels and luxury toiletries. There is a little entrance hall with hooks and space for hanging coats and leaving wet boots! From the hall there is an internal door to the main house which is kept locked. A built-in cupboard in the hall has hanging space and room for bags. There is a mini fridge with fresh milk, wine glasses and tumblers, an iron/ironing board and a hairdryer. There are no kitchen facilities. Stamping Studio has a bench and the garden is full of shrubs and trees, and the beautiful old stone boundary wall. The interior has been beautifully designed by Tin Coast Design. The nearest train station, St Erth, is about a 5-minute drive. There is dedicated parking space for Stamping Studio on a gated driveway. The village post office of Crowlas is a 5-minute walk and also sells basic local supermarket provisions. Ludgvan is about halfway between Penzance and St Ives. St Michael’s Mount is a 5-minute drive. We’re just 2 minutes from the Scilly Islands Park and Ride, making it super easy to hop over to the Isles of Scilly. A peaceful little hideaway, perfect for slowing down and soaking up the best of Cornwall.

Stamping Cottage is perfectly positioned for exploring West Cornwall’s most iconic sights. St Michael’s Mount, with its tidal causeway and fairytale castle, is just a 5-minute drive away. The famous open-air Minack Theatre, perched on the cliffs above Porthcurno Beach, is within easy reach, as are the rugged landscapes of Cape Cornwall and Land’s End. The area is a paradise for walkers and cyclists, with scenic trails winding through coastal cliffs, moorland, and charming villages. The South West Coast Path offers breathtaking seaside hikes, while nearby country lanes provide peaceful cycling routes. For those exploring without a car, a regular bus service runs to St Ives, Penzance, and beyond, with a bus stop just 80 yards down the road. We’re just 2 minutes from the Scilly Islands Park and Ride, making it super easy to hop over to the Isles of Scilly for a day trip or longer stay. St Ives, known for its golden beaches and vibrant art scene, is a short drive or bus ride away, while Penzance offers independent shops, galleries, and historic architecture. The nearest train station, St Erth, is just 5 minutes away by car, and the cottage has a dedicated parking space on a gated driveway.
