Hi there, welcome to Stoke Edith Station and thank you for considering us as your holiday destination! We're excited to have you with us to share in the enjoyment of our late father's hard work! The station site truly does have an extraordinary history, with its service dating back over 150 years. In recent years we have rebuilt the station building and platform, designed & built to be used as the semi-detached self catering holiday lets we welcome guests to today. Next, we have plans to restore & revive the old station yard and goods shed, including relaying some more track to run our locomotive & Wickham railcar. An exciting project to keep us busy! Our family residence is on site, so while you will of course have uninterrupted use of your cottage, we will always be available should you need us. These cosy cottages are set within the rolling hills of Herefordshire's glorious countryside, with a seemingly endless stream of local sites & activities! There's certainly plenty to do and see in Herefordshire, and what better way to unwind after a busy day sightseeing then sitting out on a rural platform, soaking in the rural views and watching the trains go by. Please note: While there is secure fencing along the whole length of the platform, it is not enclosed to the rest of the yard, which is enclosed. This old station site is sat on the branch line between Hereford and Ledbury, with a level crossing 50 yards away. Dog friendly property, although we stipulate a two dog maximum.
