We love having guests to stay, we have only been opened 2 months and already have had guests from Ireland, Canada, France, Germany and England who are coming to enjoy the stunning area of Portaferry and Strangford Lough. All our guests have had a great time, and we are happy to help you with restaurant reservations and activity ideas.

Property info

The schoolhouse is part of an ongoing restoration project, you will be staying in the modern (75 years old) part of the school. all rooms are ensuite and all guests have access to the interior courtyard and small library in the hall. Weather permitting the courtyard offers lovely setting for breakfast or just drinks. all rooms have heating controls etc and options to make food in the suite. It is possible to book the 3 no suites together for family or friend groups. additional bedding, towels, are all available. iron, ironing board, fan, travel cot and high chair all available for guest use. sometimes google maps give wrong direction - if you type in for St Patricks Chapel on Ballyphilip Road we are next building

Neighborhood info

Portaferry is at the tip of the peninsula, with its own micro climate and of course is an area of outstanding natural beauty. there are many local heritage sites - Mount Stewart, Castle Ward, Kearney Village, many beaches and outstanding walks.
