St Briavels, a picturesque village located just above the River Wye in the Wye Valley AONB and on the outskirts of the Royal forest of Dean. On the border of England and Wales the village has stunning views, a country pub, castle and shop. On the Offa's dyke path you are close to the Wye Valley walk. Tintern Abbey & Museum is a 10 minute drive away where you can walk up to devils pulpit or cycle the Wye Valley Greenway to Chepstow through the original railway tunnel or just simply indulge in a cream tea next to the River Wye. The area has many outstanding eateries and places of interest. The family cycle trail at Cannop, a 9 mile trail through the forest is a great way to explore and for the more adventurous there are some exciting downhill trails to ride including the verderers trail, voted the best blue trail in England by mountain biking UK in 2021. Canoe down the river Wye, enjoy the tranquillity and experience nature of the river bank. Canoe trips can be organised locally. If you fancy a treetop walk and thrill of the zip wire then Go Ape at Mallards pike. Puzzlewood where, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Merlin and Star wars were filmed is a must visit for all.
