The cottage was built in 1860 and the annex (Swallows Nest) is a recent add on. It has been sympathetically built to blend with the original cottage whist offering a modern, warm and comfortable space.
There is a comfortable double bed, sofa, desk area and flat screen TV, offering many streaming services. The brand new bathroom has a good electric shower and towels are provided on the heated towel rail.
The Wi-Fi is strong and reliable. There is tea & coffee making facilities in the room and a small fridge.
There is off road parking right outside the cottage and an EV charger available for a small charge.
Flexible check in is offered via the key safe at the front door.
I am a friendly approachable person who has run Airbnb properties for few years now, since giving up a long career in the commercial world. I strive to ensure my guests have the best possible experience and am normally on site to resolve any issues. I have a lovely black dog called Ava and I quite often take her on the hikes that I like to do.
Gotham is a super village, not least because Batman lives here. Centrally located for Nottingham, Leicester & Derby with fantastic transport routes....4 miles from junction 24 of M1. East Midland airport and Nottingham Parkway are very close. We also have the Notts on demand bus which will take you to many places for a small fare. Also the number 1 bus provides hourly access to Nottingham and Loughborough.
We are approximately 3 miles from The Nottingham University Sutton Bonington campus.
We have a village shop and several pubs. Many takeaways will deliver and there is a good choice of eateries short drive away in East Leake.
We are surrounded by the Gotham hills and there are some great walks that can be done from the property if you want to stretch your legs after a long drive or day in the office.
Basically, everything you might need or a pleasant stay.
