The pretty neighbouring village of Cranbrook, a 5-mile drive, has a windmill, museum and offers an array of independent shops.

Go past Leeds Castle and continue on B2163 until junction with A247 where “The Plough” public house is on your right. Turn LEFT towards “Headcorn, Biddenden and Tenterden”. Go through Sutton Valence, then through Headcorn and head towards the village of Biddenden. After approx 2 miles, there is a road junction as the speed limit is reduced to 50mph. Turn RIGHT onto the Frittenden Road. Continue for 1 mile, past the turning signed towards Frittenden, where the road becomes Hareplain Road, then after another ½ mile make a Right turn (Sharp left bend with oast house on the left). Go past Little Hare Plain and look for the next turning on your Right after 100 yrds. Turn into the private road signed “Plush Huts”, follow road and park in the parking area on your right. Follow signs to The Boathouse from the car park.
