The Holt is a generously sized double-bedded en-suite room. At street-level it has disabled access (door width 65cm), and is part of a riverside property in the centre of Llangollen. It is a light and sunny room opening onto the colourful central courtyard. Designed for the convenience of visitors with moderate mobility difficulties, the wet-room is wheelchair-friendly. The beautiful River Dee is accessible within a couple of minutes by steps at the end of the street, or by a ramp from nearby the car park. Princess Street is a dead-end street so is generally quiet, and cars may be unloaded outside the property before parking either on the street or in one of the nearby town car parks, for which a parking disc will be provided on arrival. The Holt is well lit and ventilated double bedroom, the bed has electric blankets. It is furnished comfortably with a sofa, free WiFi, Freesat TV and efficient electric heating. It has a kettle and tea making facilities, and a fridge with small freezer compartment, Also a microwave. Two wardrobes provide ample hanging space.

Llangollen's position on the beautiful River Dee would be enough reason in itself to visit this popular little town. The Llangollen narrow-gauge railway follows the river as far as Corwen, or you can walk or take a horse-drawn narrow boat up the canal on a horse-drawn towards the famous Horseshoe Falls, a great spot for wild swimming. A walk up to the medieval ruins of Dinas Bran Castle is an essential pilgrimage for the physically fit, who can also enjoy some excellent hiking in the surrounding hills. Nearby attractions are the atmospheric ruins of Valle Crucis Abbey and the impressive NT Chirk Castle and Gardens. Walk across the famous Froncysyllte Aqueduct or take in a game of golf at the nearby links. Ten minutes walk from the Holt is a hidden local gem, Plas Newydd, former home of The Ladies of Llangollen. Their beautifully kept gardens are free to access, and the cafe has great home made food. The town itself boasts a choice of pubs, cafes and restaurants, the popular Cornmill is a few minutes' walk down the river parade, and the Bridge End has decent pub food. The Hand Hotel has outside seating by the river.
