St Just is a very special Cornish town full of great antiquity as evidenced by the Selus Stone in St Just church. It has a range of pubs that regularly host live music, thriving independent shops and cafes as well as several art gallleries including one by the renown artist Kurt Jackson. There are plenty of opportunities for exploring , with coastal and moorland footpaths, a natural sea-pool, a pre-historic stone circle, Neolithic settlements and excellent surf all within walking distance. The landscape is spectacular with moorlands littered with ancient Stone Age and Bronze Age sites. Additionally, there is a wealth of historical, tin mining sites where a lot of the filming for Poldark was captured. Close by are several outstanding valleys renown for rare species of wild life.
