The Old Scullery is in the heart of the eclectic town of Bungay. We are in the Waveney valley with all its beautiful rivers broads and walks. Bungay has the most unique collection of independent shops deli’s restaurants and tea rooms nestled next to plenty of antique shops. Bungay boosts it own independent Fisher theatre. A cocktail bar and plenty of places to have a pint all within a few minutes walk from The Old Scullery. We have a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, hob, microwave tea and coffee facilities. There is plenty of crockery for five people including drinks glasses cutlery and cooking implements. There is a fridge freezer, and a dishwasher, so wether you want to go out and enjoy Bungay’s restaurants or stay in and enjoy your own culinary delights the choice is yours. It is an altogether quirky basement apartment in an interesting eclectic town on the north Suffolk boarder we are within 30 minutes from the most beautiful coastline, including Southwold, Aldeburgh and the bird reserve at Minsmere.

Bungay is on the edge of the Broads and the river Waveney runs right through Falcon meadow where you can swim, canoe and go paddle boarding. The Fisher theatre has something on almost every night of the week, including cinema and live bands as well as plays. The Museum is a must while you are in Bungay giving you the complete history of Bungay and the surrounding area. Bigod’s castle is all ways worth a visit albeit under renovation at the moment. Bungay has many restaurants all of which come highly recommended. The Mayfair cocktail bar is a new attraction to the town and they have the the most delicious tapas. It has superb access to the Suffolk Norfolk coastline, including the important bird reserve at Minsmere. Southwold is 30 mins away as is Lowestoft and all the beautiful beeches between.
