Earlsham Street House, was comfortable, clean and a perfect location for exploring the town and area around. The hospitality tray was well stocked and it's always a treat to have fresh milk for our tea. We will certainly be back.

I loved staying at the studio . The owner Ann could not have been more accommodating . Breakfast was a delight every day nothing was too much trouble. Ann was a delight to chat too and I enjoyed hearing about her life . The studio looks out over a beautiful garden and the views are amazing . The walk into Bungay itself is a nice one and easy to visit the small town .

Excellent hosts who were very welcoming and helpful. The property is spotlessly clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast choices with lots of lovely fresh fruit and my gluten free requirements were also catered for extremely adequately. Lovely to have a private lounge as well as a good sized bedroom. Great views over fields at the rear and a very peaceful location. Only a few minutes drive from the lovely town of Beccles though for shops and pubs. Highly recommended. Thank you for a wonderful stay and good luck for the future.

Interesting old market town with a choice of eateries, daytime and evening. There is a complex and puzzling one-way system to negotiate. There are three convenience stores in the town centre but the supermarket is on the outskirts.

Bungay is a delightful small town that perfectly blends history, charm, and character. What struck me most was the wonderful selection of unique and artisan shops—each one offering something a little different, from handmade crafts and local produce to antiques and specialty items. It’s the kind of place where you can happily wander the streets, discovering hidden gems around every corner. The town itself feels peaceful and welcoming, with a slower pace that makes it easy to relax and simply enjoy the surroundings. Its historic buildings, traditional pubs, and independent cafés give Bungay a distinctive personality that you don’t often find in larger towns. Whether you’re looking to browse, shop, or simply soak up the atmosphere, Bungay has a way of making you feel at home. In short, Bungay is a truly charming market town, rich in character and individuality—a perfect spot for those who appreciate local culture, history, and the joy of discovering something a little out of the ordinary.

It is a small historic town with an unspoilt centre with several fine houses as well as historic churches and a ruined castle. Our B&B host was able to recomend a restaurant with above average food.

Bungay is a lovely little town and has lots of character. One of the nicest delicatessens can be found in Bunday: Earsham Street Delicatessen. I picked up some great products there for Christmas and a few gifts for friends too.

My favourite places were the cafe attached to the castle, the fruit shop and florist across the road from The Castle Inn and the friendliness of the locals. We dined at The Fleece Restaurant. It was very easy to find our way around Bungay but we travelled far and wide during our short stay.

The location was idealistic and met all of my needs. I needed somewhere close to Bungay and I wanted somewhere in a quiet spot so that I could relax and recuperate. The property was warm and comfortable, despite the bitter cold outside. Everything was arranged and organized for the benefit and comfort of the guest. I was very impressed from first arrival to the last day.

Great place to stay right in the heart of Bungay. Rooms was clean and very comfortable and there is a superb restaurant downstairs, although not part of the ABNB, and the castle is a minutes walk round the back.
