Situated in the charming village of Charing Heath with only a 5 minute drive to Charing Station,15 minute drive to Ashford International Station and a 25 minute drive to Maidstone. The Red Lion is a listed, 16th century Inn providing a village location and beautiful views of the countryside, offering classic, home cooked meals, seasonal specials and real ales. With beams, wood burners and a host of character throughout the pub, The Red Lion is truly a great find. The rooms are well equipped with Wi-Fi, en-suites, tea and coffee making facilities and hairdryer provided.

Claire and her daughter Molly took over The Red Lion CH in September 22, along with their friendly team they want to make your stay as comfortable as possible, whether you are a Pilgrim or here for a getaway you are the team’s priority. Claire is also a vegan and eats a gluten free diet so can accommodate any dietary requirements. We all look forward to welcoming you. Molly took sole ownership in 2025 and has been flourishing sine.

Charing Heath Village is a warm and welcoming community with a small but friendly hub in Charing Hight Street. We have a beautiful church in the town centre which is a lovely visit. Ashford is only a 20 minute drive away or go in the other direction and you have Maidstone with the wonderful Leeds Castle.
