Wallingford has a history dating back to King Alfred and it was at Wallingford that William the Conqueror crossed the Thames with his army, before marching on London. You never know you may even become an "extra" if filming is taking place on the day you take a stroll around the town. A short drive from Wallingford and you can be in Henley-on-Thames with its river walks, pubs, shops and restaurants. "Henley Royal Regatta" takes place every year at the end of June and attracts thousands of visitors. Held over five...
