Feel refreshed when you stay in this rustic gem. The Wendy House is a newly refurbished straw and timber construction studio in Parkend with hot tub, a basket breakfast is provided. It is self sufficient having its own entrance and off road parking, at the bottom of the owner's garden. It is in an enviable position backing onto & adjacent to the forest in unspoilt countryside where wild boar and deer can be seen. Cycle trails and walking trails are immediately accessible.

There are two pubs in Parkend, The Fountain Inn, an established inn 250 years old and the Woodman together with the village post office who serve breakfast and lunch. The Nags Head nature reserve is nearby together with Cannop Ponds, half a mile away, Cannop bike park is only two miles away, bike hire is available. The dean steam trains are in the centre of Parkend, Go Ape and Segway's at Mallards Pike, Beechenhurst for families, Mary Rose pottery and numerous other interests nearby. Lydney, six miles away is the nearest town with Tesco as its main supermarket.
