This modernized Victorian home is now a 4-star guest house a 5-minute stroll from the beach at Penzance and 3 miles from St Michael’s Mount. Torwood House offers secure storage for cyclists, free Wi-Fi and free on-street parking. Each room at Torwood comes with an private bathroom and all are individually designed in light tones. A flat-screen TV and DVD player are included, as well as complimentary toiletries and tea/coffee-making facilities. The guest house is only 5 minutes’ stroll from Penzance beach and 10 minutes on foot from the center of the town. Penzance is home to many pubs and restaurants serving seafood fresh from the harbor. Torwood offers Continental and cooked breakfasts each morning. The famous clifftop theater The Minack is only 8 miles from the property, and Land’s End is only a 20-minute drive away. Penzance Railway Station is 20 minutes away on foot and provides connections to Truro and beyond. Guests can hire bikes from the Torwood House.

Torwood is a Victorian house which I have renovated over the years, endeavouring to keep as much of the original features as possible, it is a house with character which has been lovingly restored faults and all.
I love Zumba, swimming and reading, I am a local who lived in Marazion and went to school in Penzance. My Grandfather and my Uncle were miners, in fact they helped dig the tunnels a the Cable and Wireless Museum in Porthcurno. I am proud of my heritage and will glady pass what knowledge on to my guests who are interested in our colourful culture. Steve has been in Cornwall for 31 years, he has a wealth of knowledge about the area and as well has doing bike hire he does bespoke guided tours of places of interest such as the standing stones, ancient sites and holy wells. We look forward to welcoming you to the Torwood and will give you our best attention at all times.
We are situated in a beautiful tree lined avenue, near to the Minack theatre and St Michaels Mount. Chapel street is the oldest street in Penzance where you can find the Egyptian House and the Admiral Benbow pub and restaurant used by smugglers in the past, to hide their booty.
