The apartment features a cosy living space with a double sofa bed, fully equipped kitchenette, spacious bedroom, and a modern bathroom with bath and separate shower. Guests can enjoy a private BBQ area, croquet lawn, and tranquil woodland surroundings. Located within a secure gated property with excellent motorway links, it’s ideal for romantic getaways, weekend breaks, or relaxing countryside escapes in Scotland.

Welcome to The Retreat! This space was personally designed and built with comfort, relaxation, and thoughtful detail in mind, inspired by years of travelling and staying in hotels, apartments, and cottages. The aim was to create a peaceful, practical, and special place where guests can unwind and enjoy a slower pace of life. Set in a tranquil woodland location, The Retreat offers a calm environment to rest, recharge, and feel at home while being somewhere completely different. It has been created to encourage guests to pause, enjoy their surroundings, and appreciate the moment. For complete independence, guests enjoy self check-in and check-out via a secure key system, allowing flexible arrival and departure at any time. Your privacy is fully respected, but I’m nearby if needed and happy to help with local advice or recommendations for the Clyde Valley. Only a short drive away is Lanark, home to the UNESCO-listed New Lanark, while the Falls of Clyde Nature Reserve offers stunning waterfalls, woodland walks, and wildlife spotting. The Clyde Walkway is also nearby, providing scenic riverside routes for walking and cycling. Perfect for day trips, guests can easily explore Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling, Loch Lomond, and more, all within comfortable reach. Public transport links from nearby towns make travel simple for those without a car.
