Our room was spotlessly clean. We enjoyed a tasty freshly cooked veggie breakfast with quality ingredients and appreciated the fresh fruit in the bedroom. Our room had a fabulous view of a beautifully laid out garden which we were able to walk...

Company info

A keen gardener, Tresillian House's grounds are an ongoing project now showing the benefit of over 10 years work. Guests are welcome to sit/stroll in the garden (with dogs on leads). The house reflects the eclectic interests of your host and guests are welcome to play the piano if they choose. There is a wide selection of art hanging in all rooms.

Property info

Tresillian House & Garden is situated in the Medieval Market Town of Melton Mowbray. A short walk from the Town Centre and away from the hustle and bustle we are close to the surrounding beautiful countryside. The house has a peaceful aura. The rooms are spacious and comfortable - a real home away from home environment, where breakfast is cooked on the Aga and the log fire roars in the sitting room in winter months. The grounds are open to the public through the National Garden Scheme raising funds for, mainly, medical charities. Dogs are welcome but it is essential to call first to pre-book as only one room is dog friendly.

Neighborhood info

The large Parish Church in Cathedral style is well worth a visit. Close by is the Anne of Cleves - a house granted to the Anne of Cleves on her divorce from King Henry VVIII, now a pub wth good food There is an interesting local museum, excellent restaurants both in town and close by villages. Surrounding countryside offers interesting walks/cycle rides, golf, sailing. Many local places of interest within 15 mile radius.
