Excellently kitted out for a one (or two?) person business stay. Extremely convenient location, reserved parking, and great facilities. Maybe one small sofa somewhere would have added to the comfort, but the kitchen was great, and I cooked for myself every evening. Fast, responsive heating for the chillier mornings. Highly recommended.

I felt very relaxed and comfortable with the staff and bar staff, locals lots of banter, and a good laugh, just what I needed. The food was delicious and made with good quality ingredients, presented well.

Facilities for dog!! Staff were v aware of difficulties of travelling with dog in v hot weather n kindly set up dining table for us in separate room so he did not have to go to hot car while we were dining. Whole place was lovely. Plenty of outdoor places there n nearby to exercise dog. Lovely food for humans! All staff were delightful.

Melton Mowbray is a pretty market town with a lot going for it in terms of shopping and markets, good rail links, a beautiful parish church, a lovely park by the river, and much in the way of community activities and clubs. The people a friendly. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and the village of Scalford, where we stayed is beautiful too. The pub was a lovely place to stay and we felt well looked after, special even, in a beautifully presented pub building. There are lovely towns, historical buildings and parklands and pretty towns and places of interest in the surrounding areas. Lots of history here.

we loved everything about our stay here. .

we loved everything about our stay here. .Alison soo helpful and friendly, our room was just perfect. Breakfast beyond delicious, lovely meeting 3 other people at breakfast and a good chat about the area etc. Our view and the garden so special. Walk to town was just what we needed after being stuck in our car and experiencing motorway in heavy traffic and rain If we ever go back to the UK again will definetely make time for a longer stay in Melton Mowbray and Trescillian B/B

Staff very friendly, room wonderful, food excellent but could ensure that we could be advised when food is out if stock instead of the poor waitress having to go backwards and forwards to find out what was available that evening!

The street containing the Harboro hotel has a 14thC building in the shape of the Anne of Cleeves pub. It was rebuilt at some point but nevertheless is a fascinating edifice. Across the road is another ancient building. The A of C was gifted to her by Henry VIII when he was feeling guilty about swapping her for A Boleyn. I never had the time to investigate the Melton Mowbray pie scene, but being from Wigan I could probably have given them a few pointers anyway

Stayed there to break journey up.Walked around town centre, good selection of shops for size of town including a famous pork pie shop. Plenty of parking. Large livestock market that holds various events such as beer and wine festivals. Plenty of good cafes but lacked places to eat in the evening.

Not a lot here, I visited to do some walking, but paths overgrown, redirected and blocked by bulls at one point. But a very friendly place with some excellent pubs and restaurants. St Mary's church worth a visit. OK for an overnight stay

Quiet countryside location with small gravelled enclosed area directly outside lounge window & front door, with bench seating. Pleasant walk down lane (not many cars as no through lane) to village & church. Saw horses, hares, herons etc. Local Melton Mowbray Country Park was free & lovely to walk dog around. Facilities of shower & kitchen were very good. X.
