Comfortable family home in rural location with exceptional panoramic views to the Outer Hebrides. NOTE: We have a well behaved dog (working cocker spaniel) who shares our home. If you have allergies or do not like dogs, this is not the place for you. Main House - choose between a Double (standard size 135 cm x 190 cm) to the rear of the property or a Twin (2 x single 90 cm x 198 cm) to the front. Only one room let at a time with a private Shower Room for your sole use. Extension - Superior King size room (king bed 150 cm x 198 cm) with large en-suite Shower Room, comfort height wc and double aspect windows with views to the Outer Hebrides. Separate access. Please note that breakfast is served in the adjoining property and you will have a very short 1 minute walk outside to the main house for breakfast. Breakfast options - home made porridge, cereals, toast, fruit juice, teas and coffee. Fresh fruit and yoghurt. Gluten free and vegan options available. You are welcome to bring your own breakfast - we won't be offended. No cooked options other than porridge and guests are not permitted to cook. Guests share our home - it is a very laid back family atmosphere. We live here and will be part of your experience. We like to interact with our guests. Guests have access to the shared kitchen for socialising and can help themselves to teas and coffees. No cooking permitted.

Hi ! I'm Lesley. I've been doing Bed and Breakfast in my home since 2022. I live on Skye with my husband John, who works in Portree. I look after my father who lives in the extension next door. We have one well behaved dog (Bracken, the working cocker spaniel) and I love being out and about with her. She is also part of the family so be prepared for some dog cuddles. I enjoy meeting new people and am keen to help guests on their Skye adventure. Quiet rural location with spectacular views and a great location for sunsets. Plenty of walking on your doorstep. Agricultural area with sheep and cows. There are some Highland cattle located within a 10 minute walk of the property. The beach is also easily reached on foot, but if you want to take a car it is easily accessible by road also. There are not many neighbours nearby and we are located at the end of the peninsula so there's not much passing traffic. Ideal if you want peace and quiet. Local amenities - For lunch - (April - mid October) - Yurt at Skyeskyns - excellent soup, coffees, teas, cakes. For dinner - there is a pub (Stein Inn) located approximately 4 miles away. Lochbay Restaurant is also in the village of Stein but is usually booked up well in advance (6-8 weeks). The Edinbane Inn is located in the village of Edinbane (10 miles) and sometimes has live music. Otherwise there are a few options in Dunvegan (Old School, The Dunvegan; Atholl House Hotel, Blas and The Misty). All hotels, pubs and restaurants may only operate for part of the week so please check opening days carefully. Pre-booking is advised all year round.
