Situated next to Kentchurch Court, one of the most significant historic houses in Herefordshire and the ancestral home of the Lucas-Scudamore family, there's an abundance of history to be explored on your doorstep. High notes include beautiful gardens and a flock of 250 fallow deer that graze the hills framing the estate. Immaculately renovated and filled with elegant touches throughout, the house itself is a synergy of style and splendour - making for the perfect rural retreat. Please note a 25% deposit is required at the time of booking. This is fully refundable up to 60 days of arrival when your remaining balance payment is due. There is an additional charge of 75GBP for use of the hot tub. Please ensure all guests read and adhere to our Hot Tub Rules and Guidance. Book with us to get exclusive discounts to top attractions and experiences. 2 well-behaved dogs are welcome for an additional fee of 40 GBP per dog. This fee is not included in the rental price. Please advise us at the time of booking if you are bringing a dog/s and you will be sent a request for the additional fee. Please note, there is CCTV looking onto Upper Lodge's front door. A section of deep water runs in front of the property. Parents should ensure children and pets are supervised at all times. Kentchurch Court is regarded as one of the most important historical houses in Herefordshire, it’s Grade I listed and dates back to the 14th century. Upper Lodge sits on the beautiful Kentchurch Estate, itself home to a deer park which can trace its roots back to when the Knights Templar owned the land. The estate-owned Bridge Inn is just a short stroll along the lane, making for an easy and relaxed evening out. Get your fill of castles, explore the thriving towns of Hay on Wye, Ross on Wye and Abergavenny or head to the nearby Brecon Beacons for superb outdoor activities in the outstanding beauty of the national park.
